Horses as Teachers
Hours spent riding and caring for horses is time well spent and a terrific way to enhance your child’s educational experience and leadership skills. Horses are amazing at teaching math, science, environmental awareness and of course, there is lots of physical activity involved.
When you sign your child up for the 3-week program (2 hours per week) they will get up close and personal with a variety of horses from little Digby to Big Damascus. Along the way, they will learn the basics of riding (while led), play Pony Club style games and develop lots of horse care and handling skills. Open to children 6 to 12 years old. Don’t be surprised if your child falls in love with a special horse and wants to come back again and again.
